The cable is simply applied to the pipe, either
straight along or spiraled, depending on the type of installation, and
connected to the power supply. Some cables will require a separate
thermostat to control operation, some will not. All pipes should be
insulated to provide maximum freeze protection / temperature maintenance and

20 W/ft. Using self-regulating technology, no thermostat is required:
overlap the cable with no more overheating worries. As the surrounding
temperature increases, the heat of the HSR cable decreases. When the
temperature decreases, the cable heat increases. |
