When heating tanks of various fluids, there are several types of heaters that can be used. Immersion heaters placed in the fluid, strip heaters attached to the outside of the tank, barrel/blanket/silicone heaters around the outside of the tank or heat trace cable wrapped around the outside of the tank. The following questionnaire can be used to gather the information needed to select the most appropriate heater:
