Links to other Heattrak products: The HeatTrak® Rubber Stair Treads are built with non-slip, UV protected rubber, and is designed to endure harsh wear. The HeatTrak® Rubber Stair Treads are designed to be left out for the entire winter season. HeatTrak Stair Treads™ are an efficient and convenient way to eliminate snow and ice accumulation on stairs. The Rubber Top Non-Slip Surface stair treads are connected in groups of 3, 4, and 5 -- plugging into any standard 120V or 240V outlet with its own GFCI. The Rubber Top Non-Slip Surface treads are portable and are designed with grommet holes to make securing the treads both simple and effective (see instruction manual for recommended methods of securing the mat). Product Specs
HeatTrak Stair Treads™ are an alternative to more traditional forms of snow and ice removal, such as shoveling, harsh chemicals, and embedded systems. Unlike the alternatives, however, HeatTrak™ products do not require the effort of shoveling, preserve surfaces from harsh chemicals, and continuously melt snow and ice keeping surfaces constantly clear and safe. In addition, the HeatTrak™ Stair Treads™ are less expensive to install than embedded snow melting systems and their portability allows them to be used in places where embedded elements cannot be used. The HeatTrak™ Stair Treads™ are extremely durable and are designed to be left outside for the entire winter season. HeatTrak Stair Treads™ either plug directly into any standard 120V or 240V outlet using a GFCI, or they can be hardwired into an electrical junction box. The HeatTrak™ products melt up to 2” of falling snow per hour and cost as little as 60 cents a day to operate (depending on the cost per kilowatt hour). To ensure the product’s reliability, HeatTrak Stair Treads™ are built and tested according to the UL499 and CSA E335-1 electrical standard before leaving our facility.
The mats melt up to 2" of falling snow per hour and cost as little as 60 cents a day to operate (depending on the cost per kilowatt hour). That's less than the cost of having to shovel!
